Angling Club Barje (Ribiška družina Barje), established in 1955, manages a unique network of rivers, canals, and ponds in and around Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana.
Our waters are home to carp, pike, tench, barbel, trout, and many more species. Whether you’re a fly, spin, or coarse angler, you’ll find something special here.


Where to fish?
We manage over 50 km of rivers and canals, as well as several ponds and a lake. Some are peaceful wild waters, while others are more accessible and stocked.

Online licences & fishing rules
A valid fishing licence is required before commencing fishing. Day and, occasionally, night fishing licences can be purchased online:
